Simon Yuan has been working in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture for over a decade, and his specialty is in all aspects of shellfish and invertebrate aquaculture, including algae culture. He has supported technical aspects of almost every course offered over his time at VIU, and is now the main technician responsible for the Fisheries and Aquaculture duties such as ordering, lab management and lab set up and clean up. He also has a great rapport with students, and you can often find him collecting seaweeds and attending field trips and surveys.
